When was the first time you really felt like a grown up (if ever)?
Hello everyone! It’s Bruno here, your favourite Shih Tzu from across the pond. Today, I’m going to have a little chinwag with you all about something quite personal. Grab a cuppa and settle in!
You see, as a dog, our idea of “growing up” might be a tad different from yours. But there was this one time, I really felt like I’d become a proper grown-up pup.
It was on a sunny day, and we were at the park. You know, the one with that big oak tree I love so much. I was having a grand time chasing my tail, playing fetch, and just bumbling around. But then, out of the blue, a young pup approached, looking all nervous and lost.

Instead of bouncing up to him for a play, something in me clicked. I calmly walked over, gave him a gentle sniff, and stayed by his side until his hooman came over. I reckon it was my protective, elder dog instinct kicking in.
That was the day I realised I wasn’t just a little pup anymore. I had responsibilities. I was, dare I say, a grown-up! 😊
I wonder, dear reader, have you ever had a moment when you suddenly felt like you’d grown up? I’d love to hear your stories.
