   I’m traveling at the end of September and was in search for a pet carrier I could take on the airplane with me as a carry-on for my little guy. Cody is 16lbs. I bought the medium and when it arrived I was a little nervous because it looked small. However, the dimensions of the medium is right in line with what the airline calls for; I’m traveling on AA. After opening up the sides and the sunroof we starting practicing with treats to build up his confidence going inside. I want the bag to be identified as a safe place for him, one he’s not scared of. Treat in one corner, treat in another corner, and repeat for about 5 minutes letting him go in and come out without fear of being locked inside. Then I stuck the bag under my bed frame to resemble the tight space on the airplane. We repeated the treat routine. It only took about 15 mins and my dog really loves it! I think he feels safe inside and also comfortable because of the expandable sides. That feature alone is the biggest selling point of this bag. It has a leash hold on the inside as well, which will be helpful if he gets scared and tries to abort ship when we are taking flight. I really like the design of this bag and am happy with my purchase. The only thing to note is that there isn’t room to store treats or a water bowl, so be prepared to carry those elsewhere. I bought an expandable bowl to clip to the strap and will carry treats/food and water in my purse. The biggest thing with your pet is to practice going in/out of the bag in a comfortable environment with positive reinforcement. We are going to do our routine daily until I find him sleeping in there on his own. Try putting something that smells like you, like a shirt, to expedite the process. Patience and practice will pay off and make your travels much less stressful for both you and your pet.

   I have a 12lb shihpoo, I ordered the small and it was way too tiny. I ordered the next size up and it seems to be a better match. We are flying to Hawaii soon so hopefully we have no issues with the plane and size! It’s smaller than a duffel bag I would normally bring on the plane so I think we are good! 10/10

   Update: We flew Hawaiian Airlines with no issues! They weighed the dog with the kennel and he’s 12lbs and came out to a total of 16lbs total, they have a cut off of 25lbs for dogs riding in the main cabin, so it didn’t add much weight. I was worried it was an inch over the side restrictions but there was no issues or questions. I slid him under the seat and mid flight unzipped the sides so he could lay out! With a lot of research this was hands down the best choice! Lovveee the sides that open! Easy to carry, and durable support, not cheaply made! We now use it for car rides. A+

   This size of carrier was approved for Sun Country Airlines. It was nice to be able to let the extender pieces out while we were waiting in the airport to board our flight so our pup could have extra room to stretch out and move around before the flight. Our puppy at the time was 16 pounds and fit just fine. Once it was under the seat in front of me there was obviously no room for my legs to stretch out anywhere so keep that in mind when selecting your seat on the flight, may be best to choose an aisle on longer flights.

   Highly impressed, quality sturdy material and a beautiful design with lots of access options and doors and collapsible sides, and entirely foldable for easy storage. The reason I ordered this product (in small) is that it’s the only one I found that complies with the measure requirements for in-cabin travel on international flights. It fits my cats and my small dog perfectly. They range from 3 to 4.5 kg (6.6 to 10 lbs). It’s not very big – which is why I chose it – but it’s big enough for them to lie comfortably, and when I open the side « wings » they have a lot of space. I like it so much I just ordered 3 more for the entire family.

   Great carrier, allows pet more room to move around, while remaining contained. Lots of zippers to manage, but the extra space for your fur baby, while still keeps them contained and safe, isn’t an issue at all. Very nice looking carrier. Allows loading of your pet from the end or the top of the bag.
